Guy Cosmo Pairs With Memo Gidley At Infineon
Cosmo posted his first lead laps in the Grand Am Series earlier this month at Watkins Glen with a stellar ten lap performance holding off a hard charging Scott Pruett in the Chip Ganassi Racing CompUSA car. Cosmo is very anxious to continue his progress in the Series.
"We had a terrific showing at the Glen with Bobby Labonte in the AMD sponsored Spirit of Daytona car," said Guy. "I've known all along I can be a top competitor in the Grand Am Series and I appreciate the opportunities I've had this season. Hooking up with Memo and Finlay Motorsports is the perfect scenario to build on my reputation in this Series. I'm comfortable in this car and work very well with the team. Given the right combination, I know I can win here."
Cosmo stood in for Gidley earlier in the season when Memo was injured during a warm up session for the Long Beach Grand Prix.
“I’m really looking forward to pairing up with Memo Gidley for the Infineon race,” Cosmo continued. “Having filled in for Memo earlier this season I’m glad we’ll finally have the chance to drive together. Infineon is a track I know well and have won at in the past. It’s very demanding on many levels and really separates the men from the boys. I’m looking for a win!”
